Melinda Smythe
Born in Toronto, Melinda began training at the age of 4 in Seneca's Elite Gymnastics Program as well as in the competitive stream at All That Dance.
Melinda continued to pursue her passion for the performing arts, first at the Claude Watson School for the Performing Arts, and then as a dance major at Earl Haig’s Claude Watson Program.
Melinda then earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree - with a Dance Minor - at Western University. Melinda is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Child Study and Education program, at the University of Toronto.
From an early age, Melinda has naturally been drawn to teaching children and is committed to making a meaningful, tailored, fun and lasting contribution to each and every one of her students.
Melinda has parlayed her many years of gymnastic and dance training into several lucrative roles in the film & television industries. as principle dancer, lead dance double, and stunt performer. Her notable works include Family Channel’s The Next Step, Suicide Squad, Disney’s Zombies, and USA Network’s new series Dare Me, to name a few.
