Sydney Levitt

FULL-TIME COMPETITIVE TEACHER

Sydney Levitt discovered her passion for movement and dance at the young age of three. Growing up in Calgary, Alberta, Sydney began her intensive training at Drewitz Dance Productions, and continued until her graduating year. During high school, she attended The Edge School for Athletes where she studied dance under mentors such as Sarah Dolan, Cyndi Scott, and Sheri Drewitz-Kanten. Sydney’s dedication for the art brought her to Toronto, Ontario where she furthered her dance training at Canadian Dance Company and The Conteur Academy, training in Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Improv, Floor, Pointe, Ballet, and Partnering.

Sydney has performed as a dancer in Carné, created and choreographed by Cora Kozaris, La Femme Kabarett at the Toronto Fringe Festival, choreographed by Christina Digiuseppe, and performed on stage and in music videos for musicians such as Feist, BNZZO, Les Kingdoms, and Hoodlem. She has also had the pleasure of working with other talented choreographers such as Eryn Waltman, Shawn Bracke, Apolonia Velasquez, Ofilio Sinbadinho, and Julia Cratchley. Sydney’s love and passion for the art is equal to the love she has for her students, and she can’t wait to create and grow with the dancers at Rhythm Dance Studio!
