Amy Rose Dumbleton, I.S.T.D.
Amy has been studying dance for 22 years and has been teaching at studios across the Durham region and Toronto since 2004. She prides herself in being a dancer, performer, choreographer & adjudicator. She has extensive training in tap, jazz, contemporary, ballet and musical theatre and was a competitive member of the Inta Kids Dance company. She has successfully completed R.A.D and I.S.T.D examinations, receiving her Associate in Tap as well as the highest distinction on her R.A.D Grade 8 Award exam.
Amy has had the opportunity to study at the world renowned Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, Maine, where she was coached by choreographers such as Bebe Miller, Michael Foley, Cathy Young and Robert Battle. She also worked with industry legends such as Heather Rees, Virginia Fleming, Mia Michaels and the Tap Dogs. She has also had the opportunity to work backstage on the UK tour of High School Musical in Dublin, Ireland.
When she's not teaching, she spends her days working at the Rogers Creative Centre of Excellence as a graphic designer. She is thrilled to be in her second year at Rhythm and very eager and excited for the year ahead. Amy continues to study dance and its history, and hopes to share her knowledge and passion with the next generation.
